Horatiu Cosma, Secretary of State in the Ministry of Transport, showcased images from the A8 Highway construction site, linking Transylvania to Moldova. The project is progressing well with over 300 workers and 240 machines on site. The first segment of 14.4 kilometers includes significant works such as earthworks, ground improvement, and the construction of bridges and wildlife passages. Transparency is emphasized with online monitoring and drone footage of the site. The A8 will extend into Moldova, with plans for a 125-kilometer section connecting Ungheni to Budești, and further towards Ukraine. This ambitious project aims to enhance connectivity between the two historical provinces.
