Imaginea „bună” a României în Irlanda și UK: Peste 20 de infractori români expulzaţi • Newsweek România
Recently, over 20 Romanian criminals were expelled from Ireland and the UK, highlighting a negative image of Romania. In Ireland, 24 men were deported due to serious criminal convictions, including domestic violence and drug offenses. They received bans on re-entry for up to 10 years. In the UK, Stanislav Carpiuc, involved in arson attacks on properties linked to former Prime Minister Keir Starmer, was also expelled after serving a two-year sentence. The expulsions were part of a broader effort to maintain public safety and order, with the Irish Justice Minister emphasizing that most Romanian citizens contribute positively to society. The cost of the charter flight for the deportations was approximately €182,270.
