Ilie Bolojan was summoned as a witness at DNA Iași regarding businessman Fănel Bogos, who is accused of instigation to blackmail and influence peddling. The investigation focuses on a meeting between Bolojan and Bogos in September 2025, where Bogos allegedly paid 1.5 million euros for access to the Prime Minister. Bolojan arrived at the DNA office without making statements to the press. Bogos denied discussing money during their meeting, claiming it was brief and non-financial. He was arrested in November 2025 and is currently under judicial control. Cristina Trăilă, also implicated, has sought to clarify inconsistencies in the investigation, asserting her innocence. Bolojan emphasized that receiving Bogos did not imply any subsequent favoritism or knowledge of any payments.
