Interim Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan announced the completion of project evaluations aimed at enhancing energy efficiency in industry, funded by the Modernization Fund. A total of 11 industrial companies submitted projects, with 7 approved, amounting to 290 million euros in investments, including 109 million euros in state aid. The approved projects focus on replacing energy-intensive equipment, retrofitting production lines, and installing real-time energy consumption monitoring systems. These investments aim to reduce energy consumption by 990,000 MWh annually and cut CO₂ emissions by 239,000 tons. The next steps include resolving appeals and finalizing investments by June 2030.
