The contracts for restarting work at the Iernut power plant will be operational by mid-September, ensuring project completion by year-end. Interim Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan emphasized the plant's strategic importance for Romania's energy balance. The construction is expected to finish by the end of this year, with energy production starting early next year. Romgaz has taken over the project after previous contractors faced bankruptcy, and the new agreement aims for completion by December 2025.
