Adrian Câciu, former PSD Finance Minister, criticized Ilie Bolojan for allegedly misrepresenting Romania's budget deficit data, which Eurostat reported as the highest in the EU. Câciu accused Bolojan of deliberately hiding the true extent of the deficit to maintain his reformer image. He stated that the actual deficit is significantly higher than reported and emphasized the need for politicians to address the financial situation. Câciu highlighted that the interim government failed to pay outstanding bills, contributing to the record deficit. He called for a resolution to the deficit issue, asserting that it reflects Bolojan's incompetence.
