Ikea plans to invest €130 million in Romania for expansion and modernization, including the Băneasa store. The investment will enhance customer access and experience through new locations and upgrades. The company aims to open 10 new customer interaction points and modernize existing stores, particularly in Băneasa. Additionally, Ikea will reduce prices by €4.4 million in fiscal 2027 as part of a broader €1.2 billion initiative across Europe. The Băneasa store will undergo phased renovations starting in spring 2027, ensuring minimal disruption to customers. Ikea currently operates three stores in Romania and plans to adapt its formats to local needs.
