On August 7, major fuel distributors in Romania implemented significant price reductions for both standard gasoline and diesel. Following a series of price hikes, diesel reached a record high of 10.98 lei per liter at Lukoil on August 4. Rompetrol now offers the lowest price for standard gasoline at 9.32 lei/l, while Petrom and Socar follow closely at 9.36 lei/l. Diesel prices have also decreased, with Petrom and Socar at 10.57 lei/l. Lukoil has reduced its prices to 9.47 lei/l for gasoline and 10.83 lei/l for diesel. MOL is the only distributor that has kept its prices unchanged. This marks the first significant price drop after a three-week period of increases.
