ÎCCJ obligă statul să plătească restanțele salariale ale judecătorilor în 2026. Cum a reacționat Guvernul • Newsweek România

The High Court of Cassation and Justice (ÎCCJ) ruled that the state must pay judges' salary arrears due in 2026. The interim government, led by Ilie Bolojan, stated it cannot allocate the required funds without a budget rectification, which it cannot perform due to its interim status. The amount owed is approximately 4.8 billion lei. The Constitutional Court rejected Bolojan's request to resolve a legal conflict with the ÎCCJ. The Fiscal Council emphasized the urgent need for a budget rectification, warning that without it, critical sectors like healthcare could face operational failures within weeks. The interim health minister highlighted the risks to the healthcare system if a budget rectification is not enacted soon.
