The High Court of Cassation and Justice has postponed its decision regarding the salary arrears of magistrates for the second time, with a new date set for August 20. The case, now in the appeal phase, involves approximately 5 billion lei. The Court of Appeal previously ruled that the government must allocate funds for these arrears, which stem from retroactive salary increases. The government is contesting this obligation and has requested the Constitutional Court's involvement, as well as a preliminary ruling from the European Court of Justice.
