The city of Iași has secured 133 million euros through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) for 25 projects, including new trams and electric buses. Mayor Mihai Chirica emphasized the importance of completing these European-funded initiatives. The projects include the purchase of 18 new trams and 25 electric buses, as well as safety systems for trams. Additionally, ten residential blocks for young people were built, and 21 school buildings were renovated. The city also acquired 150 digitalized ecological islands, totaling 24.2 million lei. Chirica highlighted the significant effort involved in securing these funds for Iași.
