The High Court of Cassation and Justice has allowed Horațiu Potra to be judged under judicial control instead of house arrest. He faces charges related to attempts against constitutional order. Previously, he was placed under house arrest with an electronic monitoring device after being released from preventive detention. Potra is accused of various offenses, including instigation and illegal operations with explosives, alongside 20 other mercenaries. Prosecutors allege that Potra's group aimed to infiltrate protests following the annulment of the December 2024 elections to incite chaos.
