Horațiu Potra, accused of attempting actions against constitutional order, has been released from house arrest and placed under judicial control for 60 days. He must not leave the country and has to report to the police weekly. Previously, he was in preventive detention from November 2025 to June 2026 after being extradited from Dubai. Potra faces charges including attempted actions against constitutional order and illegal possession of weapons. He is being tried alongside 20 other mercenaries and former presidential candidate Călin Georgescu, with allegations that they planned to infiltrate protests following the annulment of the December 2024 elections.
