Hidroelectrica reported a 62% increase in net profit for the first half of 2026, reaching 2.57 billion lei, driven by a 17% rise in energy production. Operational and financial results significantly surpassed those of the same period in 2025, attributed to normalized hydrological conditions and a restructured revenue model. Revenues grew by 40% to 6.05 billion lei, with a 65% increase in operating profit. The company also expanded its customer base by 83%, reflecting strong growth in both residential and non-residential segments. Hidroelectrica remains the largest energy producer in Romania, with a 100% renewable energy portfolio.
