Hidroelectrica reported a net profit of 2.57 billion lei in the first half of 2026, a 62% increase from the previous year, driven by operational improvements and a growing customer base. The company, which is state-controlled and the largest energy producer in Romania, saw its revenues rise by 40% to 6.05 billion lei, with a significant increase in both operational and net margins. The customer portfolio expanded by 83%, reaching nearly 1.4 million clients, reflecting a strong market position. The company continues to focus on optimizing its production and procurement mix to enhance resilience against market volatility.
