Hidroelectrica reported a net profit of 2.57 billion lei in the first half of 2026, a 62% increase from last year, driven by a 17% rise in energy production. The company's revenues grew by 40%, reaching 6.05 billion lei, with significant operational and financial improvements. The increase in energy production was largely due to favorable weather conditions, with a total of 7,070 GWh generated. Additionally, the company expanded its customer base significantly, adding over 633,000 new clients, resulting in a market share of 19.22% in the competitive segment. Hidroelectrica remains Romania's largest energy producer and supplier, focusing on renewable energy.
