Hidroelectrica is set to increase electricity prices by nearly 8% due to the ongoing energy crisis, affecting 1.2 million customers. This translates to an additional cost of 8 lei for every 100 kWh consumed. A family with two children, consuming between 100 and 300 kWh monthly, will see their bills rise by 8 to 24 lei starting in November. The new rates will range from 1.19 lei to 1.27 lei per kWh. Customers can report their meter readings through various methods, including an online platform and a dedicated phone line.
