Hidrocentralele şi reactoarele nucleare din România şi paradoxul energetic din ţara noastră - opinie Dumitru Chisăliţă, Asociaţia Energia Inteligentă - Economica.net
Romania has hydro and nuclear power plants that can produce electricity at low costs, but consumers do not benefit from these savings due to market fragmentation. The separation of energy companies has led to competition that does not reflect the actual production costs, resulting in higher prices for consumers. The current system allows producers of cheap energy to profit from high market prices, while consumers pay more. The energy market's structure, established over two decades ago, may not serve public interest effectively. Chisăliță argues for a reevaluation of the energy system to ensure that the benefits of low-cost energy are passed on to consumers, rather than remaining with producers.
