Helion SafeCity is a platform designed to assist local administrations in Romania in managing illegal parking and enhancing pedestrian safety. Initially tested in Oradea, the AI system integrates with existing city surveillance cameras to automatically identify improperly parked vehicles and streamline the administrative process for issuing fines. The technology captures necessary evidence, such as license plates and vehicle details, reducing manual documentation efforts. The pilot project in Oradea involved testing and calibrating the system in real scenarios, with the aim of adapting it to various urban environments. Helion SafeCity emphasizes that AI supports, rather than replaces, public authority decisions, ultimately aiming to improve public service efficiency and urban safety.
