The National Meteorological Administration has issued new heatwave warnings, including an orange code for Bihor, Arad, and Timiș counties, predicting temperatures up to 40 degrees Celsius. The heatwave is expected to intensify, with tropical nights and high humidity levels. A yellow code is also in effect for several other counties, with temperatures ranging from 33 to 37 degrees. The director of ANM, Elena Mateescu, indicated that a red code may be issued if conditions worsen. The heatwave is expected to persist into early August, with significant discomfort anticipated across the country.
