HARTĂ. România, la 1.477 km de autostrăzi și drumuri expres / Ce se mai deschide în 2026 și ce rămâne pentru 2027
Romania has surpassed 1,477 kilometers of highways and express roads with the recent opening of 47.1 km of the A7 highway. This allows drivers to travel from Bucharest to Bacau entirely on highways in under three hours. By the end of 2026, at least 200 kilometers of new highways are expected to be opened, enhancing the country's infrastructure. Future projects include extending the A7 towards Pascani and connecting to Suceava. The government aims for 230-240 km of new roads in 2026, while more conservative estimates suggest around 190 km. Significant funding has been secured through the PNRR, totaling approximately 5 billion euros for transport projects, with over 250 km of highways completed.
