Meteorologists have extended the red heat alert in seven counties while announcing heavy rain and storms across much of the country. Extreme heat will persist until Friday morning, with temperatures reaching up to 41 degrees Celsius in some areas. A yellow alert for storms and heavy rainfall is also in effect, with expected wind gusts of up to 90 km/h and significant rainfall amounts. In Bucharest, high temperatures and tropical nights will continue, with a mix of sun and storms expected.
