Fuel prices in Romania have increased, with both gasoline and diesel surpassing 10 lei per liter as of October 12, 2026. The lowest price for standard gasoline is 10.05 lei in Timiș, while in Bucharest it starts at 10.11 lei. Diesel prices also rose, with the minimum at 10.75 lei in Constanța. Compared to the previous month, gasoline prices have risen by 2.8%, and diesel by 5.5%. Romania ranks 14th in the EU for cheapest gasoline and 11th for diesel. Without taxes, Romania is 6th for gasoline and 11th for diesel in the EU.
