Hackerul „Virus”, dat în urmărire după condamnarea în SUA, prins la Sinaia cu un sistem care schimba numerele de înmatriculare
A 42-year-old man, Mihai Ionuț Păunescu, known as 'Virus', was stopped by police in Sinaia for driving a car with fake license plates. He was previously convicted in the US for his role in distributing dangerous malware. Păunescu was found with a mechanism to switch between real and fake plates and presented false identification. He was detained for 24 hours and is under investigation for driving with a suspended license and identity fraud. Păunescu has a history of cybercrime, having been arrested in 2012 and later extradited from Colombia to the US, where he was sentenced to three years in prison and fined.
