In October 2026, two hackathons focused on defense technologies will take place in Romania, one in Galați and another in Bucharest. Participants will develop AI-based solutions for drone detection in Galați, with prizes totaling around €4,500. The Bucharest event will allow teams to propose their own defense-related projects and connect with investors. Both events are organized in collaboration with the European Defense Tech Hub, aiming to bridge the gap between prototypes and industry needs.
