This rejection prolongs the political crisis that began earlier this year, leaving President Nicușor Dan to find a solution for a fully empowered executive. Mureșan's cabinet, supported by PNL, USR, and UDMR, could not achieve the required majority despite negotiations. Following this setback, the president has two options: appoint a new prime minister or proceed with the constitutional process that may lead to early elections. This marks the second cabinet rejection in the ongoing political turmoil, which started after the fall of the Bolojan government.
