Guvernul Republicii Moldova propune o taxă de viciu de 6% pentru jocurile de noroc și creșterea accizelor la tutun din 2027
The government plans to increase tobacco excise taxes by 20% in 2027 and introduce a 6% excise tax on gambling and lottery participation. This is part of the fiscal policy project approved by the Executive, which aims to provide predictability for businesses and budget planning. The excise tax on tobacco products will rise by 20% in 2027, with further increases in subsequent years. Additionally, the project includes new excise taxes on non-nicotine liquids for e-cigarettes and sugary carbonated drinks. The proposed changes also involve a 10% increase in excise taxes for most goods and a 20% increase for diesel fuel. The fiscal policy project has been sent to Parliament for review.
