The Romanian government has extended the deadlines for the completion of three regional emergency hospitals in Iași, Cluj, and Craiova to December 2029 and May 2029, respectively. This decision follows an amendment agreed upon with the European Investment Bank (EIB) regarding financing contracts. The extension is necessary due to delays in procurement and construction processes. The total loan amount from the EIB for these projects is €923 million, with partial disbursements already made. The hospitals are crucial for modernizing Romania's healthcare infrastructure and improving patient access to medical services.
