Guvernul pregătește noi soluții pentru asigurarea apei necesare răcirii centralei nucleare de la Cernavodă. Dunărea, la un nivel extrem de scăzut

Authorities are developing solutions to ensure water supply for cooling the Cernavodă nuclear power plant due to record low levels of the Danube. The Interministerial Committee has evaluated various options to maintain water levels at the plant's intake. Dragging operations are prioritized to improve water distribution, although low water levels pose challenges. A temporary stone dam will be constructed to direct water flow towards deeper areas. Additionally, mobile inflatable dams and pumps will be installed to supplement cooling water needs. The Cernavodă plant has backup equipment to ensure reactor cooling even under critical conditions.
