The Mureșan government plans to create a single National Police by integrating the Romanian Police, Border Police, and Immigration Inspectorate. This restructuring aims to streamline law enforcement and clarify the roles of the National Police and Gendarmerie. Additionally, a new National Authority for Public Services will be established to consolidate administrative services like passports and permits. The program also includes a functional audit of the Ministry of Internal Affairs to reduce hierarchy and merge similar structures. The final version of the governance program is still subject to changes before the parliamentary vote.
