The focus is on companies consuming over 50,000 MWh annually, with potential reductions estimated at 100-200 MW, which may not suffice to cover peak deficits. If voluntary measures fail, mandatory reductions could be implemented under crisis conditions. Romania is currently in an energy alert due to decreased electricity production caused by drought.
