The Ministry of Energy urges households, companies, and public institutions to reduce electricity consumption from 7 PM to 11 PM until August 31, 2026, to alleviate pressure on the National Energy System. Recommendations include rescheduling high-energy activities to earlier hours and turning off unused equipment. Industrial consumers are encouraged to voluntarily decrease their energy use during peak hours, while public institutions should limit unnecessary lighting and equipment usage. Prosumers with storage systems are advised to charge during the day and use stored energy at night. This initiative responds to low water levels in the Danube affecting energy production.
