The Bolojan government has approved the technical-economic indicators for the Brașov-Făgăraș highway, a project costing 9.3 billion lei funded by EU and state budget. This approval is a key step before the public tender for construction begins. The final administrative step involves issuing a government decision to start expropriation procedures, which includes defining the expropriation corridor and allocating compensation funds. The highway will affect properties in five localities in Brașov County and will require the deforestation of nearly 30 hectares of protected forest areas. The project aims to enhance national and regional connectivity, improve traffic flow, and reduce pollution, with an estimated construction duration of 36 months.
