The government has allocated nearly 8 million lei for the modernization of 97 schools in 16 counties, focusing on sanitary facilities. This funding aims to continue unfinished projects from last year, ensuring proper hygiene conditions in schools. The funds will be transferred from the Ministry of Education's budget to local budgets through county school inspectorates. Local authorities are responsible for managing the funds and completing the necessary works, including connections to water and sewage systems. Any unspent funds by the end of 2026 will be returned to the state budget.
