Guvernul a aprobat redeschiderea a două exploatări de grafit, esențial pentru producția de baterii
The Romanian government has approved the reopening of two graphite mining sites in Baia de Fier, crucial for battery production. This decision allows the Catalinu mine and Ungurelașu quarry to resume operations, previously marked for closure. The initiative is part of a strategic project aimed at sustainable graphite extraction, essential for electric vehicle batteries. The project is expected to boost local economic development and create new jobs, while also supporting the EU's critical raw materials supply initiative. SALROM holds the concession for the area and has submitted necessary documentation for the operation.
