A biogas station in Pașcani has been completed after two years of waiting, with an investment of nearly 4.5 million euros. The facility will convert farm waste into electricity and heat, currently undergoing testing. Iasi County now has three such installations, with two recently commissioned. The farm aims to utilize manure and plant residues for energy production, with a maximum capacity of 630 kW. However, unclear legislation poses challenges for operators, as these units serve dual purposes of energy production and waste treatment.
