Local councilors in Sibiu are set to approve an increase in waste disposal fees at the Cristian landfill during the September meeting. The proposed adjustment, requested by Tracon SRL, is based on rising operational costs and inflation rates from September 2025 to August 2026. The fee will rise from 146.72 lei/ton to 155.21 lei/ton, effective January 1, 2027. This follows a previous request for a fee increase that was denied due to lack of legal basis.
