The Rovinari 4 energy group will be activated to support the National Energy System due to the shutdown of Unit 2 at Cernavodă. Additional production capacity from Hidroelectrica will also be utilized to balance the energy supply. The Ministry of Energy assures that measures are in place to monitor and manage energy production and consumption effectively. A potential consumption limitation for large industrial users may be implemented if necessary, while residential consumers will not be affected. The shutdown of Unit 2 is a precautionary measure due to low water levels in the Danube.
