Israeli group Econergy has connected a 70 MW / 141 MWh battery storage system to Romania's national grid, marking its entry into the local market. The Pârâu 1 solar park, covering 113 hectares, has a total capacity of 162 MW after this integration. This move signifies Econergy's transition to an independent power producer, enhancing revenue sources and energy flexibility. The company has 521 MW of storage projects in Romania, with plans for additional systems at various solar sites. Globally, Econergy's development portfolio totals around 13 GW, with storage technology comprising a significant portion.
