German group Euro-Druckservice will close its Ghimbav production unit by December 31 due to declining demand and rising production costs. The company has informed its 84 employees about the closure, which follows a significant drop in financial performance, with revenues falling from 101.98 million lei to 90.97 million lei and a net loss of 5.5 million lei. The decision is attributed to ongoing demand decreases and disproportionate local costs for energy and labor, as well as increased paper supply costs compared to other European units. The Ghimbav facility, established in 2008, specialized in high-volume commercial printing.
