Grupul britanic Alcemi intră oficial pe piața din România cu două proiecte BESS

British energy storage developer Alcemi has officially entered the Romanian market by acquiring majority stakes in two battery energy storage projects. The projects, in partnership with local developers, aim to leverage local expertise for efficient regulatory navigation. The two projects are a 300 MW facility in Medgidia and a 275 MW facility in Șura Mare, both designed for 4-hour storage duration. Alcemi's entry is seen as a significant step in enhancing Romania's energy storage capabilities, with the company emphasizing the importance of local partnerships. CMS law firm assisted Alcemi throughout the acquisition process, highlighting the growing importance of battery storage systems in Romania's energy mix.
