He denied any connection between their meeting and Bolojan's ousting, emphasizing that the decision was already made internally within the party. Grindeanu clarified that he did not organize Guilfoyle's visit and that their discussions did not involve Romanian politics. He asserted that the change in leadership was driven by public sentiment rather than foreign influence. Guilfoyle recently resigned at the request of the White House amid allegations of misconduct, which she has denied.
