Grindeanu, despre măsurile urgente pentru evitarea opririi Reactorului 2: Nu contest necesitatea lucrărilor, ci competența Guvernului demis
Sorin Grindeanu, the PSD leader, acknowledged the need for government measures to prevent the shutdown of Cernavodă's Reactor 2 but questioned the authority of a dismissed government to make such decisions. He emphasized the importance of adhering to legal frameworks while addressing the complex energy situation, exacerbated by neighboring countries facing similar nuclear issues. The low water levels in the Danube have already led to the controlled shutdown of Reactor 1, and authorities are striving to keep Reactor 2 operational. A shutdown of both reactors would significantly impact Romania's energy production and increase reliance on imports, potentially raising costs for consumers.
