Sorin Ionescu, proposed as the new minister delegate for pre-university education, passed the first stage of the director competition but will not continue. He scored 7 but cited poor time management as his mistake. The next stage coincides with a parliamentary vote for the new government. Ionescu, a history teacher and local councilor, has not clarified his nomination process. The promotion rate for the first stage was 69.05%.
