Two businessmen, Gregor Hudohmet and Dragomir Theodor Cristian, have been placed in preventive detention for 30 days after allegedly soliciting a bribe of €450,000 from another company. This amount represented 2% of a contract for constructing an energy storage system. The National Anti-Corruption Directorate (DNA) reported that the two pressured the administrator of the other firm to pay the bribe. Investigations began following a criminal complaint regarding abuse of office, later expanding to include corruption charges. The court approved the preventive arrest based on evidence gathered during the investigation, which revealed the details of the bribery scheme.
