Greece celebrated the inclusion of Mount Olympus in UNESCO's World Heritage List, marking a significant national achievement. Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis emphasized its importance for humanity. The mountain, known for its biodiversity and mythological significance, was unanimously added during the UNESCO World Heritage Committee session in Busan, South Korea. Mount Olympus hosts over 2,000 plant species and attracts many tourists interested in Greek mythology. Other sites, including French fortresses and Sudanese savannas, were also recognized.
