Grecia refuză să împrumute nouă bucăți de marmură de la Partenon unui muzeu din Frankfurt din cauză că e și British Museum implicat

The Greek government has denied a request from Frankfurt's Liebieghaus Museum to borrow nine marble fragments from the Acropolis Museum for an exhibition featuring the Parthenon's eastern pediment. The refusal is due to the involvement of the British Museum, with which Greece has a long-standing dispute over the Parthenon marbles. The exhibition, titled "Athena, the Scene is Yours: The Parthenon Puzzle," opens on November 18 and runs until July 25, 2027. Despite the denial, the exhibition will proceed based on new research and discoveries. The curator, Vinzenz Brinkmann, emphasized the significance of the exhibition, which includes original fragments and reconstructions of the pediment's figures, although many pieces remain missing.
