Grecia pregăteşte reduceri de taxe şi majorări de salarii şi pensii de 2,2 miliarde de euro înaintea alegerilor - Economica.net
Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis announced a €2.2 billion fiscal package for 2027, including income tax cuts, salary increases, and bonuses for retirees and public sector employees. The measures, amounting to about 1% of Greece's GDP, feature a €400 annual bonus for retirees and €500 for public workers. The government will eliminate income tax for low-income farmers and families with three children, while also reducing advance tax payments for small businesses. The minimum wage will rise to €950 per month, with a target of €1,000 by 2028. These initiatives come as the government faces declining electoral support amid a cost-of-living crisis and corruption allegations, despite strong economic performance post-2009 financial crisis.
