Grecia oferă 5.000 de euro pe an familiilor care se mută pe insula Kastellorizo

Greece is offering financial incentives to attract new residents to Kastellorizo, providing €5,000 annually for families and €1,000 for each child. This initiative, announced by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, aims to boost the island's population and includes additional benefits for public sector workers. Payments will start in 2028 for newcomers and in 2027 for current residents. The government also plans infrastructure improvements and enhanced public services. The strategic significance of Kastellorizo, located near Turkey, is emphasized amid ongoing territorial disputes. A new subsidized ferry service will connect the island to the mainland and other Dodecanese islands.
