Grecia instalează sisteme moderne de detectare a incendiilor în principalele situri arheologice

Greece is implementing modern fire detection systems at key archaeological sites to protect its cultural heritage from wildfires. The Ministry of Culture has tested this technology, which alerts firefighters in real-time. By the end of August, six systems will be operational, including at the Acropolis and other significant locations. An additional eight systems are planned for installation in September. The initiative aims to enhance response capabilities amid increasing wildfire incidents, with an average of 40 fires occurring daily during peak season. Authorities have made numerous arrests related to fire incidents, highlighting the urgency of the situation.
